If you have to shovel the driveway, you may as well have fun! Some of these designs take longer to create than they last in the winter sun. But the methodical snow removal is soothing, if not zen-like. The more complicated patterns take upwards of 4 hours to complete.  I use every effort to avoid leaving footprints when possible. As our Northeast winters get warmer, and the snow is slushier, that is getting increasingly more difficult. Sometimes I plan in great detail. Other times what emerges is simply a snow doodle. Enjoy.
