Rare Species in Knit Sweaters

Jack ‘o lanterns during Halloween can be scary, but the plight of threatened species is especially terrifying. I created these pumpkin drawings to educate the next generation about the fate of these endangered mammals from across the globe. Pumpkins seemed an appropriate medium as they are ephemeral, as are these beautiful creatures when we are not careful about our own actions. I’m thankful for the collaboration with the dozen or so Massachusetts public and private schools that incorporated this artwork into their curricula.
