John Collins

I was asked to do a sculpture of Dave’s face and get the likeness as close as I could using photographs as a reference. I sculpt portraits in water based Clay. I was able to make a copy in wax and have a foundry make a bronze casting of it. I also made several plaster copies and gave them to the other sculptors who were fabricating pieces near the head, such as the owl, hat, and torso to provide a proportional reference for their part of the whole sculpture. I also worked with BRIAN and Mike on the pumpkin.
