Using a combination of tilt-shift lenses (typically a Rokinon tilt-shift 24mm f/3.5 mated to a Pentax K-3) and post-processing, I create another type of miniature. These are landscapes images that rotate the focal plane of the image such that the rest is increasingly out of focus. The result is the illusion akin to a model railroad scene. This series features recognizable features of the Pioneer Valley, our tiny corner of western Massachusetts.
