I’m pleased to have been selected to participate in this wonderful venture in downtown Amherst, MA – such a wonderful way to engage artists and the community during the pandemic. My work will be displayed in the storefront window of Laughing Dog Bicycles at 63 S. Pleasant Street from Oct. 1 – Oct. 22, 2020.
Amherst Arts Night Plus is turning all of downtown Amherst into a walkable exhibition window gallery for three weeks in October.
While COVID-19 keeps local galleries and museums shuttered, Amherst Arts Night Plus has continued producing its monthly arts cornucopia online for area residents. As a new venture in October, AANP is bringing area artists’ work to Amherst downtown store windows for a three-week public exhibition.
“The purpose,” according to AANP co-chairs Elizabeth Bradley and Shoshona King, “is to continue to bring art into the downtown to entertain, educate and inspire Amherst’s residents and visitors, especially now that our usual venues are closed. We’re thinking of this project as turning our entire downtown into an extended gallery.”
